It’s that time of year again. One of our favourite events in the Jog Derbyshire calendar – the Derby 10k – is open for entries. We can’t wait to be part of it for another year.
Thanks to our partnership with Derby County Community Trust Jog Derbyshire groups benefit from discounted entry as well as a room to chill out in before and after the race.
The Derby 10K is a 10-kilometre road race, which starts and finishes at Pride Park Stadium and passes some of the city’s iconic landmarks.
A bumper year
Earlier this year we welcomed a record 400 people from across the Jog Derbyshire family to the 2018 event which made for quite a special atmosphere. It included a real melting pot of people. From nervous first timers and seasoned runners looking for a personal best to every age, ability and fitness level, with a sprinkling of fancy dress thrown in too. But the main thing was they were all doing it together.
We watched people stream in, full of excitement and anticipation before returning post-race with hugs, congratulations, support and reassurance for each other.
